The Sully Buttes Chargers came out strong, with passing, and re-established their ground game against Hitchcock Tulare, and the end result was a 50-0 victory Thursday night.
Balance was the key, with the Chargers totaling 222 yards passing, and 167 rushing, while holding the Patriots to 72 total yards offensively.
Quarterback Devan Kleven finished the night seven of nine for 216 yards and four TD’s, while also rushing for one score. The leading ground gainer was Morris Hofer, who totaled 68 yards on ten carries. In all, seven Chargers rushed the ball on offense.
Sully Buttes, now 9-0, will face Burke/South Central next Thursday in Onida, with a as yet to be determined start time.
