There is not much change this week in South Dakota on the latest update of the US Drought Monitor. The largest change from last week is a reduction of Extreme drought. D-3 drought is currently being seen in east central and southeastern Meade, northeastern Pennington, southwest Ziebach and northwest Haakon Counties. D-2, Severe drought, has replaced the Extreme drought conditions in southwestern Haakon, western Jackson and extreme northwest Mellette County. D-1 Moderate drought is sitting across all of Potter, Sully, Stanley and most of Jones and Hughes County and the northwest corner of Hyde County. Abnormally dry conditions are in place in Hyde, eastern Hughes and most of Lyman County.
